On 8 August, 2024, an event in mixed format “Transcending boundaries, connecting people through culture: discussion on Ukraine”, was hosted by Alliance Francaise and organized by the EU Mission to India and the Embassy of Ukraine to India. The main speakers were Ms. Tehnaz Dastoor, Director, Tericom Productions and Mr. Bishan Samaddar, Editor and Director, Seagull Books. They traveled to Ukraine during spring 2024, invited by PEN-Ukraine. They brought stories from the ground, narrated about their experience of Kyiv and reflected on the role culture plays in strengthening bilateral relations.

Dr. Mridula Ghosh, Board Chair EEDI and Associate Professor of NaUKMA as a resident in Kyiv and as Chair of EEDI described all the activities that were undertaken in the area of culture and education within the framework of the project “Ukraine and South Asia: Open Dialogues”, supported by the International Renaissance Foundation. The discussion was moderated by eminent journalist Rudroneel Ghosh.
