Tagore Center was set up in 2009 as a project of the East European Development Institute.
Major activities & publications of the Center has been:
Conducting course in Bengali language – the only place in Ukraine;
Exhibition consisting of 65 exhibits, with full explications, is ready for display to the public. The exhibition has been hosted three times in Kyiv, twice in the Khanenko Museum of Arts in 2011 and 2016 and once in the National Taras Shevchenko Museum in 2012). Apart from that, the exhibition was hosted in:

Publications of the Tagore Center include:
- Biographic booklet of Tagore;
- CD disc of Tagore songs;
- Anthology of Ukrainian poetry (28 poets from the 18th till 21st century) translated into Bengali;
- Translation of Lisova Pisnya into Bengali.
- Chapter “Studying Tagore in Ukraine: problems and perspectives” in a book celebrating the tercentenary of the poet.
A fully functioning song ensemble has been performing in all Tagore Center events.
Nine short films (slide shows) on life and creations of Tagore were prepared and shown to the public.
